Anyone who knows Danny and I knows that we love living in Arizona, in fact we cannot imagine living anywhere else in the world, it’s our home! However, if you know us, then you will also know that we LOVE to travel. Individually, Danny has had opportunities to travel to places like Germany, Belgium, Italy, France, Switzerland, the Bahamas, Canada and State-side has been to Wisconsin, Missouri, Southern and Northern California, and Seattle. Before marrying Danny, I have gone on mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Alaska, Argentina, and Los Angeles, and have visited other places such as Minnesota, Southern California, Seattle, and Colorado.
In each other, we have truly found kindred spirits in our sense of adventure! We love discovering new things, experiencing different cultures, and learning about the history of any place we visit. Since being married we have been able to explore all over California (from San Diego to Silicon Valley), Seattle & Olympia Washington, Las Vegas, and Wisconsin. The more places we visit, experiences we bond through, and people we meet, the greater our dreams of traversing the world together grow!
However, as much as we love to travel, there is always this sense of longing for home, and we look forward to returning to where we belong at the end of our journey. When we visit other places, we recognize that we are just passing through, foreigners on a temporary stay for a period of time. In this, we are also reminded that we are in fact not only just visitors of the places we travel to, but, as followers of Christ, we are also foreigners on earth.
Philippians 3:20-21 says, “For our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body.”
We are Simply Sojourners, just passing through and sharing our journey along the way.
Join us as we keep record of our travels and share our adventures with you!
