Hello MTV and welcome to our crib!
Just kidding 😉
Really though, we have a cute little place over here in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are in the middle of the city, right below the Ala Wai Canal, and are just a short walk to Waikiki Beach. We are 11 stories up in a cozy little studio apartment, though the owners prefer to call it an “open concept.” One of the best things about it is that, although small, it is a corner apartment, and we must say, having windows on two whole walls makes for a pretty gorgeous view!

And hey, what’s a new place without a few surprises?
When we first got into our new temporary home, we noticed the owner had left us a little gift basket of goodies with some chocolate, tea, little toiletries, a little fan (which I did not think we would use but has come in handy way more than expected), and also a bunch of Bailey’s. We had a laugh at the Bailey’s, but really thought the gift basket was very sweet!
What we did not expect were the “goodies” we found next. We noticed a note on the front of the refrigerator that said to “feel free to eat anything in the fridge while you’re settling in.” So we immediately had to open the refrigerator door and check it out. These were the contents of said fridge: A whole fish with a $3 price tag, half a bottle of vodka, half a carton of orange juice, the top half of a pineapple, some eggs, and yes, more Bailey’s. Sounds like the makings of a great party, am I right? Though we ended up only eating the pineapple half and decided not to chance the rest.
Not to worry though, there will be many culinary adventures to come!
